Domestic fauna and meat diet are very badly known in Brittany and Normandy for the Iron Age. It is true that the novelty of the discipline as well as the acidity of the Armorican substrat does not encourage the implementation of research programmes on this subject. The systematic study of animal remains could nevertheless lead to a fuller knowledge of the management of herds and the consumption of meat during this period in West France.
